KUKE has an agreement with Propav that will open African markets to Polish exporters

The Polish export support agency KUKE and Propav Infraestructuras – an international company specializing in the development of infrastructure on the markets of Africa and South America – have signed a cooperation agreement that will enable Polish exporters to join supply chains as part of the company’s global projects, KUKE announced. This is the first agreement of this type in the history of KUKE, it was emphasized.

KUKE emphasizes that it not only insures trade receivables, investments and provides financing to Polish and foreign entrepreneurs, but also helps them find business opportunities so that they can develop faster.

“This is what our Shop in Poland program is for. Global entities, most often general contractors, report to us information about the demand for products or services necessary in their projects. We pass this on to Polish companies that have expressed interest in taking advantage of such opportunities. Then, all that remains is to agree on the terms of the contract between the parties. During this time, we organize financing for the project and ensure that the Polish supplier receives payment. Propav Infraestructuras is a valued expert in emerging markets and the first foreign entity with which KUKE formalized cooperation under the Shop in Poland program,” said Janusz Władyczak, president of KUKE, quoted in the release.

Thanks to the agreement, Polish exporters will be able to easily look for opportunities to join projects implemented by Propav Infraestructuras as suppliers.

“The agreement marks the beginning of a strategic alliance that we are sure will bring mutual benefits. We see plenty of opportunities to engage Polish exporters in our projects. We are initially focusing on initiatives related to the African continent, particularly in the infrastructure, rail, energy and water sectors. We are excited about the prospect of cooperation with KUKE and look forward to implementing projects that will contribute to economic growth and sustainable development in the regions where we are active,” added Cristiano Becker Hees, director of transaction structuring at Propav Infraestructuras.

The agreement assumes, among other things, that KUKE will facilitate direct contacts between Polish companies and Propav Infraestructuras to provide cooperation offers and their terms and conditions. The first opportunity is joint workshops for domestic exporters during the Warsaw Business Forum 2023 organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The parties will also conduct training and share knowledge with Polish entrepreneurs about the specificity of African markets, which will support the internationalization of their activities.

“The participation of Polish suppliers in Propav Infraestructuras projects will enable KUKE to provide support in the form of political and credit risk insurance, facilitating the financing of these projects,” the announcement emphasized.

KUKE and Propav Infraestructuras are committed to implementing foreign investments in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, ensuring an increase in the quality of life of local communities and respecting the natural environment.

KUKE has been insuring commercial transactions of Polish entrepreneurs for over 30 years. It offers services that ensure safe trade exchange both at home and abroad. As the only institution in the country, KUKE offers products with State Treasury guarantees and insures long-term export projects of an investment nature.
