Kruk rebuilt after the pandemic. In 2021 it generated nearly 700 million net profit

After the poor, pandemic year 2020, there is no trace of Kruk's results. In 2021, the Wrocław-based debt collection company recorded the highest net profit in history, record repayments from purchased portfolios, record investments in new portfolios, the highest level of EBITDA and cash EBITDA.

- The year 2021 definitely belonged to Kruk - the highest net profit in history, record repayments from acquired portfolios, record investments in new portfolios, the highest level of EBITDA and cash EBITDA. The scale of the change that has taken place in Kruk is best demonstrated by the fact that it has more than doubled the highest net profit in 2018 so far. This is, of course, the result of continuous work on the effectiveness of operational processes and the solid foundations of Kruk. The digital transformation we are undergoing is also important, as is valuation excellence and very good access to financing - said Piotr Krupa, CEO and president of Kruk SA. - The year 2021 was also a breakthrough year in an important aspect - each country in our geographical presence positively contributed to the result. I am proud of Kruk's achievements so far and I look to the future with optimism. Today, we are not only a leader in Poland, but also at the forefront of international companies in our industry in Europe.

Total equity at the end of 2021 amounted to PLN 2.6 billion and increased by 27%. y / y Return on equity (ROE) amounted to 27%, which means an increase by 23 pp compared to the previous year.

Kruk is the largest debt management company in Poland. The company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2011. On Tuesday, at the close of trading, the price of one Kruk share was PLN 257.40. At this rate, the market values ​​the company at PLN 4.9 billion.
