Katowice authorities will allocate PLN 1 million to the best city start-ups

The Katowice City Hall has announced a competition called the Start-up Mine, addressed to young entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas. The prize pool in the three editions of the competition will amount to PLN 1 million.

The Start-up Mine is the first competition of this type organized in Silesia. Its goal is to select the best startup projects from Katowice.

The laureate of the first edition of the Start-up Mine will receive 150,000. PLN
The competition will be addressed to start-ups that are just getting ready to implement their ideas. The first edition will start in March, and there are plans for at least two more. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of 150,000. PLN. The runner-up will receive 100,000. PLN, and the winner of the third – 80 thousand. PLN.

As officials emphasize, startups participating in the competition will have the opportunity to cooperate with valued experts and mentors, thus expanding their knowledge in the field of innovation, project management and team management, as well as in the field of business competences. The winners of the first edition of the Start-up Mine will be announced in June. You can enter the competition on the website kopalniastartupow.katowice.eu.
