iTaxi has bought the assets of MPT, one of the oldest taxi corporations in Warsaw. This is another step on the way to creating a nationwide brand.
Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Taksówkowe Sp. z o.o., i.e. MPT, from January this year is in the structures of Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe. And it was with MZA iTaxi that it concluded a preliminary contract after winning the competition procedure. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.
“In addition to the takeover by iTaxi.pl of the main assets of MPT (i.e. all contracts necessary to continue the taxi operations), the acquisition also starts the process of assigning contracts with taxi drivers and all contractors cooperating with MPT so far,” we read in the journal.
“We hope that the iTaxi fleet will increase by several hundred drivers” – says Jarosław Grabowski, CEO of iTaxi.
