Ipopema TFI and Crido will offer a comprehensive service of securing and managing private assets as well as succession planning, the companies announced. The offer is addressed to a group of owners of family businesses, wealthy senior managers and professionals with assets over PLN 5 million. The new regulations on a family foundation introduce a new type of legal person, facilitating the intergenerational transfer of assets of Polish entrepreneurs and the economically effective multiplication of these assets.
“Introducing family foundations into Polish law is a step in the right direction. From the legal point of view, such a foundation offers great flexibility – much greater than the current inheritance law regulations,” said Mateusz Baran from Crido, quoted in the release.
This new approach allows for both complete exemption from income tax on the profits generated by the foundation and the application of preferential tax rates on the amounts paid to final beneficiaries. So far, it has happened many times that the only solution – especially in the case of significant assets – was to use foreign private (family) foundations.
The pillar of Ipopema TFI/Crido’s offer is not only to deal with the active management of accumulated family assets (additionally, reporting and valuation of assets that the founder and the foundation’s management board decide to entrust to Ipopema TFI specialists in the management), but also tax and legal advice related to the succession process (planning a mechanism for endowing representatives of the younger generation with assets by the founder of the foundation), advice on the risk reduction strategy (transferring specific assets to the foundation in a way that eliminates recourse to this property by potential creditors of the founder), it was emphasized.
“Due to the ‘sharing’ of the process of reaching potential clients, Ipopema and Crido count on a competitive advantage, due to their extensive experience in succession and cooperation with entities from abroad, where such structures have been operating for many years. Thanks to this, they will be able to offer interesting, attractive solutions for customers in Poland” – concluded.
Ipopema Towarzystwo Funduszy Inwestycyjnych was established in 2007 and is one of the largest investment fund societies in Poland. Customers entrusted Ipopema TFI with over PLN 58 billion.
