The InPost Group has launched a new connection, thanks to which customers in Spain and Italy can send and receive intercountry shipments via the InPost network, the company announced. Currently, the service is only available to online stores, but will soon be extended to private customers.
“We have created a ‘bridge’ connecting Spain and Italy. Our logistic capabilities and extensive network of parcel locker machines and PUDO points allowed us to create a new direct shipping route. Thanks to this facilitation, we also promote e-commerce trade between both countries,” said Nicola D’Elia, general director of Southern Europe of the InPost Group, quoted in the release.
“International expansion is the main direction of InPost’s development. We are developing intensively on 9 European markets. When creating such a large and complex network, its connection is an obvious priority. Our goal for the future is to connect all markets and build one coherent logistics system that will make the delivery of our customers’ parcels even easier and faster,” added Rafał Brzoska, president and founder of InPost.
The InPost Group is present in 9 countries, where it has over 60,000 locations. pick-up and drop-off point. So far, crossborder was only available between France and Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Benelux countries. Now a new international route has been created – enabling shipments between a network of over 6,000 points in Spain and over 5,000 in Italy, it was reported.
InPost is a delivery platform for e-commerce. Founded in 1999 by Rafał Brzoska in Poland, InPost has a network of parcel lockers in Poland, Great Britain and Italy, and also provides courier and fulfillment services for e-commerce sellers in Poland. In July 2021, it finalized the acquisition of the French company Mondial Relay. In January 2021, InPost debuted on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange.
