InPost disrupts again, in electric charging stations partnership with GreenWay

InPost, in cooperation with GreenWay Polska, started building a network of charging stations for electric cars. The stations will be located in the company’s distribution centers and at parcel machines.

As part of the project, GreenWay Polska will deliver and install AC and DC charging stations in InPost logistics centers. The company will also deal with the management and service of chargers.

“We have one of the largest fleets of electric cars in Poland and we are investing heavily in its expansion. We install photovoltaic panels to make InPost parcel lockers autonomous and ecological, additionally surrounded by an anti-smog block. Now we are taking the next step – electric car charging stations. In the future, the InPost parcel locker will not only be a multi-service point that will allow you to collect and send parcels and provide various types of services – but also an autonomous charging station where you can charge a phone, scooter or car” – emphasizes Rafał Brzoska, president of InPost.

In addition, InPost is expanding its fleet by another several hundred electric vehicles, including over 250 Nissan e-NV200s and 10 eSpriners at Mercedes Benz, which have joined the current InPost electric vehicle fleet. The cars will be used by couriers and for deliveries to parcel machines in partner cities of the Green City program – a package of modern services for cities, which is already implemented in Sopot, Rzeszów, Łódź, Kraków, Kielce, Wałbrzych, Częstochowa, Rybnik, Białystok, Chełm, Wrocław , Bytom, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra.
