From mid-December 2021 innogy Polska will operate under the E.ON Polska brand. The names of the companies belonging to the innogy Group, their logos and the names of the subsidiaries will change. All contracts signed with innogy Polska remain unchanged.
The entire process is the culmination of the two-year integration period that began in 2019, when E.ON took over innogy’s assets from RWE. This change is happening for a reason. The energy sector – both global, European and Polish – will face huge challenges related to preventing the effects of the climate crisis. The E.ON Group, which is one of the leading European and global energy companies, has the knowledge and tools to carry out an effective transformation of the energy sector.
This is already happening. By 2040, E.ON plans to completely reduce its carbon footprint from its own owned and controlled resources. The reduction is to be carried out gradually, by 2030 it is planned at the level of 75%. By 2050, the Group also intends to significantly reduce indirect emissions in the company’s supply chain.
“Full integration with E.ON is a natural step in the development of our company. The E.ON Group offers individual solutions to customers. As one of the most important grid operators in Europe, it will play an important role in the energy transformation, which is so important for everyone”, comments Andrzej Modzelewski, President of the Management Board of innogy Polska S.A.
