However, the NFEPWM is already working on launching the next, fourth edition, which is to encourage prosumers to self-consume energy generated in households. Work is also underway to extend another, popular Clean Air program, with subsidies for the replacement of coats in multi-unit buildings.

“It is known that smog arises not only in single-family housing, but also in multi-family housing. So we are working on a program for such buildings. We have already introduced two pilot projects in the Zachodniopomorskie and Dolnośląskie voivodeships for the replacement of multi-room buildings” – says Paweł Mirowski, vice president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in an interview with the Newseria Biznes agency.

The Lower Silesian pilot project involves the replacement of 720 ineffective heat sources and thermal modernization in 60 multi-family buildings. PLN 20 million has been earmarked for this purpose. The owners of the premises, as well as housing communities, may become the beneficiaries of the program. The pilot project, which will be conducted by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Wrocław, is planned for the years 2021–2024. The call for applications will start in October this year.
