Imperial Brands has started an investment in Krakow and is developing a global service center

Imperial Brands is developing a global service center in Krakow – part of the global operating model responsible for the company’s financial activities. 100 people have found work there, and ultimately 500 people will find work in the centre, the company announced. For the Imperial Brands Group, Poland is a strategic market where it sees great development opportunities.

The global business services (GBS) center in Kraków is one of the elements of the company’s global strategy and its transformation, as well as the concern’s fourth investment in Poland. Currently, there are two factories of the manufacturer in the country – in Tarnów Podgórne near Poznań and in Radom, as well as a global center of the supply chain in Warsaw. Krakow’s GBS integrates tasks from four areas: finance, purchasing, IT and data analysis.

“Our vision is to create a real competence center bringing together a team of experts with specialist knowledge in various fields, such as finance, IT or data analysis. As our company transforms, we shape new ways of working, implement and align new technologies, while upgrading skills, all to improve data accuracy, quality of service and increase efficiency across the organization. We already employ over 100 talented experts in the Krakow center and we are constantly developing. Ultimately, as many as 500 people will find jobs in our service center,” said Edwin Bennaars, director of global business services at Imperial Brands, quoted in the release.

Imperial Brands, headquartered in Bristol (UK), is one of the largest manufacturers of tobacco products in the world.
