Hynfra has a cooperation agreement with Claritas Energy for 500 MV energy storage

Hynfra Energy Storage (HES) and Claritas Investments - a Dutch investor operating in the field of energy transformation - are starting cooperation to launch industrial-scale energy storage facilities in Poland with a capacity of 500 MW, Hynfra reported.

The key aspect of the agreement is the preparation of battery energy storage facilities to participate in the wholesale energy market and to provide ancillary and capacity market services relevant to the security of the national distribution and transmission grid.

“Signing a framework agreement for the development of energy storage projects with Hynfra Energy Storage is an important step for Claritas to expand its presence in this market segment. We appreciate the commitment and professional approach of our partner and we count on further development on the dynamically changing renewable energy market in Poland. I believe that this agreement brings many benefits to both parties and will contribute to improving the operation of power grids in the regions where we want to develop our joint projects,” said country director Poland at Claritas Investments Michał Kopyś, quoted in the release.

Claritas and Hynfra Energy Storage aim to develop large-scale battery storage projects that will not only improve the quality and stabilize the operation of the national power grid, but also ensure revenue through active and flexible participation in electricity trading and ancillary services markets.

Hynfra Energy Storage is a developer of energy storage systems on an industrial scale with experience in the development and construction of the largest infrastructure projects in Poland and the first company on the Polish market to provide comprehensive energy storage solutions in the storage as a service model and energy collection for the production of renewable hydrogen.
