Honeywell wants to expand its operations in Poland and is in the process of organizing its research and development center in Krakow, said Piotr Marczuk, president of the company’s CEE region.
“We are working on expanding our presence in Poland and are in the process of organizing a research and development center in Krakow, which from the beginning will deal with technologies for the aviation and defense sectors, and in the future will also address other strategic business groups of Honeywell,” Marczuk said during a meeting with journalists.
He added that Honeywell chose Krakow because of its proximity to the “aviation valley”, proximity to Honeywell’s main research and development center in the region in Brno, Czech Republic, and the significant talent pool available in the area.
The key directions of Honeywell’s development in the coming years include industrial automation, building automation, aviation technologies, energy transformation and sustainable development, Marczuk mentioned.
So far, the company had operations in Poland in Warsaw, Katowice, and Chorzów (production).
Honeywell is a technology company providing solutions for the industry, including products and services for aviation, control technologies for buildings and industrial purposes, as well as materials with high technological parameters.
