Polish infrastructure supplier Hawe is developing a fibre-optic connection on the Polish border with Belarus with the Belarusian company NTEC (National Traffic Exchange Centre), reported Telko.in. The fibre link, using DWDM technology, is being built in the region of Brest. The investment will support new contracts with enterprises interested in data transfer on the route Western Europe – Eastern Europe – Asia.
The new point of contact with NTEC will enable launch of data transmission channels with a capacity of n x 400 Gbps. The investment is possible as a result of the new DWDM system, the Huawei OSN 8800 on the whole network of Hawe Telekom.
