Grupa Azoty Polyolefins has chosen Gryfilen distributors in Europe

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins, the special purpose vehicle carrying out the Polimery Police investment, has selected distributors for the product resulting from the investment – polypropylene under the name of Gryfilen on most European markets, Grupa Azoty has announced.

In Poland, the product will be distributed by Grupa Azoty Compounding. For other European markets, Grupa Azoty Polyolefins has selected the following distributors:
– Ter Hell Plastic – the sole distributor for the market of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
– Nexeo Plastic Europa – exclusive distributor for the market of Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
– Biesterfeld Plastic – the sole distributor for the UK and Ireland market.
– Imlitex Industry UAB – the sole distributor for the market of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine.

At the same time, Grupa Azoty Polyolefins is still in the process of selecting distributors on other European markets, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Grupa Azoty has its own assets on the German market, including Grupa Azoty ATT Polymers, noted.

Selected new distributors of Grupa Azoty’s products in Police will work with us to build the market success of Gryfilen polypropylene in Europe. Grupa Azoty Compounding, a company from our capital group, with many years of experience in the sale of plastics, has become the exclusive distributor on the Polish market,” said Tomasz Hinc, President of Grupa Azoty, quoted in the release.

The goal of the Polimery Police project, with a total budget of approximately USD 1.8 billion, is the construction of an integrated chemical complex, which includes a propylene production unit by propane dehydrogenation and a polypropylene production unit with a production capacity of up to 437,000 m3. tons per year.

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins is a special purpose vehicle implementing the Polimery Police project.

Grupa Azoty ranks second in the EU in the production of nitrogen and compound fertilizers, and products such as melamine, caprolactam, polyamide, OXO alcohols and titanium white also have a strong position in the chemical sector, being used in many industries. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 15.9 billion in 2021.
