Companies of the Grupa Azoty capital group are increasing their production in connection with the observed in the last weeks of May this year. changes in prices on the European gas market and forecasts in the demand area, the Group announced.
“Due to the correction of prices on the European gas market in the last weeks of May 2023 and forecasts in the demand area, Grupa Azoty Group companies are increasing production levels at their units. Our companies react to market changes and take active steps to deliver competitive products to the market, which should be positively reflected in the financial results in the coming months,” said President Tomasz Hinc, quoted in the release.
From June 1, ZAK will start the process of loading the production installations in the Agro Business Unit to 100% of production capacity. At the same time, from June 17, Grupa Azoty ZAK will begin the planned annual maintenance and repair shutdown.
From June 1, Zakłady Azotowe Puławy will increase the production of fertilizers and chemicals – including ammonium nitrate, nitrate-urea solution and urea for liquid solutions. Production capacity at the Grupa Azoty units in Tarnów will be restored by June 27, immediately after the completion of the planned annual maintenance and repair works.
Grupa Azoty ranks second in the EU in the production of nitrogen and compound fertilizers, and products such as melamine, caprolactam, polyamide, OXO alcohols and titanium white also have a strong position in the chemical sector, being used in many industries. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 24.66 billion in 2022.
