Fort Collins-based Woodward Inc. is moving 65 jobs to Krakow, Poland.
Woodward is relocating certain parts of its electronic control systems value stream to its existing site in Poland to integrate common production processes in its renewable power systems field, spokeswoman Tracy Gohari said in an email.
Workers affected by the move are being considered for other jobs within Woodward’s Colorado operations.
“We will be asking several members almost immediately to start training with Airframe Systems” at the Drake Road campus, Gohari said.
“Woodward is always looking to improve our processes and gain efficiencies in our sites, while maintaining a focus on long-term growth,” Gohari said.
Job redeployment is expected to be phased in.
Woodward recently announced it was moving its Duarte, California, plant to Fort Collins, creating 300 new aerospace jobs and buying part of Rolls-Royce’s power systems business, L’Orange GmbH, in Germany.
The company supplies fuel injection technology for engines that power industrial applications including marine power and propulsion systems, special application vehicles, oil and gas processing and power generation.
Woodward’s net sales for the first quarter were $470 million, up from $443 million from the same time last year, partially on the strength of its aerospace segment, which was up more than 14 percent.
