Foodcom entered the e-commerce market, launched a new website

Foodcom has launched a new website, introducing the possibility to purchase goods directly through the platform, as well as freeze their prices for a period of 3 days thanks to the reservation function, the company said.

“Foodcom’s strategy is focused on dynamic development and expanding the range of operations, both in the context of the commercial offer and foreign markets. The introduction of e-commerce means reaching a new group of buyers and developing the company on a completely new scale. By giving a price guarantee, we ensure business security, which is particularly important in today’s rapidly changing world,” said Mateusz Augustyniak, board member at Foodcom, quoted in the release.

A few years ago, as the first trading company in the world, it began to publish the prices of products at which it makes transactions, and now the new website and the sales system implemented with it (intended for both Polish and foreign business customers) will streamline these transactions.

“One of the most important functionalities introduced is the option to select goods (from a wide range of raw materials, semi-finished products and wholesome products in the company’s commercial offer) and their immediate purchase directly via the website (based on a shopping basket that is valued on an ongoing basis). However, when paying 10% of the order value, customers will be able to reserve the goods for a period of 3 days. This means that the price of the product they see when placing their order will be retained, eliminating the risk of unfavorable price fluctuations in global commodity markets. Meanwhile, the standard procedure for concluding a sales contract, starting from contacting customer service (via a form, e-mail or live chat), remains unchanged.

The company indicated that, in addition to new solutions in the field of transactions, an option to choose the method of delivery of goods was introduced, and customers will be able to use the support of the logistics department in the process of organizing transport, as well as pick up the goods from one of the company’s warehouses.

Foodcom specializes in wholesale trade in goods in the chemical, food, animal nutrition and FMCG industries.
