FoodBandits virtual kitchens are already in 38 locations in Poland

FoodBandits has created innovative gastronomic concepts operating exclusively for take-out, which can be instilled at no cost in any restaurant (and not only) kitchen. The Polish start-up uses existing infrastructure to create the so-called “ghost kitchen” and provides an additional source of income from the sale of food under the brands of virtual restaurants from its portfolio.

FoodBandits was created last year to save the catering industry after the pandemic. It uses the concept of "ghost kitchen", which prepare meals at the highest level, but do not have their own place where guests can come. The start-up creates brands of virtual restaurants, available only in delivery (Italian - Bastardo Pasta, Asian - Wok'n'Roll and Mexican - Los Hombres). All ingredients for dishes are prepared in a central kitchen near Warsaw, distributed to six distribution centers and delivered to partner restaurants. Chefs participate in training and receive handbooks that show step by step how to prepare meals. Preparing an order requires only heating and mixing the elements, e.g. pasta with a quality and well-seasoned sauce. FoodBandits offers partners devices to operate its own technological system that manages orders, cooperating with such suppliers as: Uber Eats, Glovo, Wolt and Bolt Food, Pyszne.pl. Restaurant owners receive additional marketing and promotional support as well as exclusivity in the designated area. The start-up starts operating in a model resembling a fast-food chain.

The originators of FoodBandits are Jędrzej Franek (currently COO) and Marek Krupski (CEO). Jędrzej Franek has 10 years of experience in international trade and is the creator of a popular brand of food products on the African market. For many years he has cooperated with the largest supermarket chains, such as Leroy Merlin, Bricoman, Bricomarche and Jula. The second co-founder, Marek Krupski, has 23 years of experience in Polish and international companies such as MSD Polska, Philip Morris Polska, Małpka SA in the area of sales management and cost optimization consulting. Marek Krupski is also a well-known actor from top television and series productions. A 12-person team is currently working on the FoodBandits start-up, which includes, among others, CD Joanna Kluczka, CTO Bartłomiej Kubik, CMO Marta Paplaczyk and CSO Jakub Wrana.

FoodBandits dishes are already available in 38 locations in Poland, and at the beginning of 2023 the company plans to appear in another 62 locations throughout the country. – Despite the crisis, we are able to open 5 restaurants a week – adds Jędrzej Franek.
