58 startups get 31 million pln grants in Eastern Poland

58 startups applied for funding in the 11th round of the “Development of startups in Eastern Poland” competition. More than half of them received a recommendation of support from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development: PLN 31 million will be distributed to 33 companies. The competition is financed by the Eastern Poland Program.

Young companies registered in one of the voivodeships of the Eastern Poland macroregion – Podlaskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Lubelskie, Świętokrzyskie or Podkarpackie, which have successfully completed incubation under one of the “Start-up platforms” – can get up to PLN 1 million for further development.

In the eleventh round of the competition, the greatest number of recommended projects concerns the IT industry – 16 applications. Other projects offer solutions in areas such as medicine, data analysis and security, ecology and agriculture, marketing, food and data security.

“The popularity of the competition is consistently high. Thanks to the program, entrepreneurs have a chance to implement and develop innovations and intensify business activities. For young technology companies that want to spread their wings with the support of the “Development of startups in Eastern Poland” program, more than PLN 140 million is waiting” – says Mikołaj Różycki, deputy president of PARP.

The call for applications is currently underway for the 14th round of the competition, which will end on August 12, 2021. The call for applications for the last this year, 17th round of the competition, will end on December 30, 2021.
