PGE Baltica - a subsidiary of Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) - has selected Energoprojekt-Katowice as an advisor in the tender procedure for the general contractor of the inland connection for the Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 offshore wind farms, the company said.
“The Baltica offshore wind farm will be the largest offshore wind farm in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The national advisor selected in the tender will prepare documentation that will be a key element of the next procurement procedure for the selection of the general contractor for the construction of the onshore connection for the Baltica 2 and Baltica 3 power plants. the next five years - said the president of PGE Wojciech Dąbrowski, quoted in the press release.

As part of the cooperation, documentation will be created for export cable lines in the land area, teletechnical sewage systems for fiber-optic lines and onshore transformer stations with connection to the infrastructure of the transmission network operator.

The PGE Group generates 41% of net electricity production in Poland, and its share in the heat market is 18%. The Group estimates its share in the market of energy from renewable sources at 10%.
