Energa Invest to build major new power point at energy plant in Płock

Energa Invest – a subsidiary of Energa – as the leader of the consortium of contractors, has signed a contract with PKN Orlen for the construction of a new main power point GPZ-3 at Zakład Elektrociepłownia in Płock, the company said. The investment is to be completed within 23 months.

“We are successfully going through the process of integration with the Orlen Group. It is focused on the development of the company as a specialized engineering entity that will perform tasks for other companies belonging to the group, in particular in the EPC formula, i.e. turnkey, and GRI – general investment implementation. We already have the first significant achievements in this respect, ”said Marek Domozych, director of the Power Engineering Design Office at Energa Invest.

The investment covers the design, construction and commissioning of a 24-bay 110 kV switchgear (GIS), 56 bays of 30 kV switchgears and a power supply system from the gas-steam unit through two 75 MVA transformers with phase shifting transformers. Connections between the 110 kV and 30 kV switchgear will be made through 110 kV cable lines and four transformers with a capacity of 75 MVA 110/30 kV. In addition, the investment involves the construction of over 5 km of busbars with a voltage of 30 kV and over 0.6 km with a voltage of 20 kV.

According to the plans, the investment is to be completed within 23 months.
