Dominika Kulczyk wants to raise PLN 1 billion for the construction of “green” farms

The energy company Polenergia, controlled by Dominika Kulczyk, wants to obtain PLN 1 billion from investors. The public offering of the shares will start on January 31.

According to the prospectus approved by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the price of one new issue share will be PLN 47. A maximum of 21.4 million shares will be sold, which means that the value of the issue may slightly exceed PLN 1 billion.

Polenergia wants to allocate the money obtained from investors to the development and construction of zero-emission energy sources, including in particular the construction of offshore and onshore wind farms and solar farms, as well as the development of electromobility and acquisitions of companies in selected business areas. Part of the funds will also be used to repay a short-term loan for financing onshore wind farms.

Currently, Polenergia is developing three offshore wind projects together with the Norwegian Equinor. The company will make the final investment decision for two projects in 2024, which will enable the first electricity to be delivered to the grid in 2027. The generation capacity of both farms is to be 1,440 MW, which will allow electricity to be supplied to over 2 million households.

The third offshore farm project with a planned capacity of up to 1,560 MW has a valid location permit and a connection agreement obtained from the transmission system operator. The process of obtaining environmental decisions for this investment is currently underway.
