President Andrzej Duda signed an amendment to the pollutant release and transfer register. The new regulations mainly concern the reporting by enterprises of information on pollutants emitted.
They are to contribute to reducing the number of documents submitted to the European Commission. The regulations also mention fines imposed on the operators of the installation.
In the act, i.a. there is an obligation to submit, within a specified period, identification data for the plant where the installation emitting pollutants with exceeding the performance thresholds is operated. The data will be submitted irrespective of whether in a given reporting year the operator of the installation found that the thresholds for releases and transfers of pollutants were exceeded.
