Colt increases the range of optical fibers in Poland to over 3,000 buildings

Colt Technology Services increases the reach of the Polish metropolitan computer network (MAN) in 6 cities all over Poland: Katowice, Wrocław, Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk and Poznań. As part of this expansion, Colt has enabled a direct fiber optic connection with over 3,000 buildings with access to its own network infrastructure and 4 new data centers in Poznań, Katowice, Gdańsk and Wrocław.

The global demand for network bandwidth continues to grow, and more and more enterprises rely on cloud-hosted infrastructure. Diverse connectivity is very important to an organization. The Polish expansion allows companies to meet global and local connectivity requirements. It is a continuation of Colt's activities supporting the digital transformation of both domestic and international companies, as Poland is in a period of economic growth.

 - Connectivity is critical to the future of any economy. Colt can play an important role in increasing competitiveness, productivity and meeting the future requirements that Polish enterprises will have to meet - said Keri Gilder, CEO of Colt Technology Services.

Colt continues to invest in its Colt IQ Network, continually expanding its global offering to more than 29,000 networked buildings and more than 900 data centers. The latest expansion is in line with Colt's overarching strategy of delivering high throughputs. This means global, flexible and secure network and voice-on-demand solutions with high bandwidth. This will make the entire region more able to connect with the rest of the world.
