Currently, the company ranks fifth on the Polish market (among the 10 largest producers of plant protection chemicals on the domestic market monitored by PAMS), it was underlined. In recent months, the company from Nowa Sarzyna has also strengthened its position on the market of preparations based on glyphosate - the most common active substance used in agriculture. Also in this segment, Ciech grew in Q1 this year. faster than the market. “The key feature of our new product, i.e. less active substance thanks to the innovative BGT technology, which guarantees high efficiency, may turn out to be crucial in the face of the situation in China, which is one of the main producers of glyphosate acid used in production. We can see there relatively low stocks of this raw material and other ingredients necessary for the production of glyphosate-based products are becoming more expensive, as well as announcements of technological breaks at some producers. This will have an impact on prices in the coming months. Meanwhile, we are able to produce a relatively more product with smaller amounts of the available active substance compared to other products available on the market, ”said the president of Ciech Sarzyna and the head of the Agro business of the Ciech Group, Wojciech Babski, quoted in the announcement.
