Budimex takes aim at renewable energy, with PLN 50-100 million investment

Budimex is analyzing the purchase of the company – the owner of the wind farm, according to President Artur Popko’s statement. He announced that the group wants to invest in renewable energy an amount in the range of PLN 50-100 million at the turn of 2021/2022.

“We are cautious about what is happening in RES. The prices of materials (PV panels) as well as the prices of finished projects often increase day by day. At the moment, we are seriously considering investing in wind farms, we are carrying out due diligence of one of the companies, if it turns out positive, it will be a transaction. What we want to invest at the turn of the next year is an order of magnitude of between PLN 50 and 100 million, ”Popko said during a press conference.

At the beginning of November, member of the supervisory board and former president of the company, Dariusz Blocher, informed ISBnews that Budimex intends to be present on the renewable energy market and plans to announce a new venture in this segment later this year.
