Budimex is analyzing renewable energy projects with a total capacity of approx. 200 MW

Budimex is currently analyzing several projects in the area of renewable energy sources (RES) with a total capacity of approx. 200 MW, informed Ewelina Karp-Kręglicka, director of the purchasing, quality and environmental protection office of Budimex, who supervises the implementation of the company’s ESG strategy.

“Our first 7 MW wind farm is currently in the commissioning phase, and we want to complete the 14 MW photovoltaic farm in the first quarter of 2024,” said Karp-Kręglicka during the press conference.

As she emphasized, the company is currently analyzing several more RES projects with a total capacity of approx. 200 MW and maintains the plan to build a portfolio of approx. 500 MW in a five-year perspective.

“Two currently implemented RES projects will cover 100% of the group’s electricity needs from mid-2024,” added Artur Popko, President of the Management Board.

Budimex has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 1995; is included in the mWIG40 index. Its strategic investor is the Spanish company Ferrovial. In 2022, it had PLN 8.62 billion in consolidated revenue.
