Bosch will build a heat pump factory in Dobromierz, the value of the investment is PLN 1.2 billion

A new production plant for Bosch heat pumps will be built in Dobromierz in Lower Silesia. The value of the investment is approx. PLN 1.2 billion, the Ministry of Development and Technology (MRiT) announced. Around 500 new jobs are to be created in the new factory by 2027.

“I am glad that Bosch has decided to reinvest in our country. And it is a plant producing heat pumps, which are one of the key technological solutions enabling the energy transformation of Europe based on renewable energy sources, said Waldemar Buda, Minister of Development and Technology, quoted in the release.

The commencement of construction works is planned for 2024, and the start of production at the turn of 2025 and 2026.

The new plant is expected to produce outdoor and indoor heat pump units primarily for the European market and will join the company’s European heat pump manufacturing and manufacturing network.

The Bosch Group has been present in Poland since 1992. It is represented by four companies: Robert Bosch; Bosch Rexroth; BSH Home Appliances and sia Abrasives Polska. Bosch operates in five locations in Poland: Warsaw, Wrocław, Łódź, Rzeszów and Goleniów.

The Robert Bosch Group has so far invested in the Polish Investment Zone (PSI) a total of PLN 1.445 billion, with a guarantee of creating 1,541 new jobs (data do not include a new investment). As part of PSI, the company operates in two zones – the Euro-Park Mielec SEZ and the Wałbrzych SEZ.
