Bosch Group to hire 500 in Warsaw, shifts work from China to Poland

Bosch is intensively expanding the capital’s IT Competence Center, which is becoming one of the key software development and IT consulting centers for the Bosch Group worldwide.

The Bosch Group has demonstrated its resilience to the crisis in the difficult year of the pandemic. The total net revenue of the four companies belonging to the Bosch Group in Poland in 2020 amounted to PLN 9.8 billion, which is 10 percent lower than in 2019. The domestic market generated PLN 5.5 billion in revenue, and exports PLN 4.3 billion – despite 30 percent decline in sales in the automotive industry, resulting from lower demand for spare parts produced by the concern.

Bosch achieved very good results in the consumer goods sector related to the production and sale of household appliances and power tools. Sales of heating systems, especially heat pumps, also increased.

Despite the pandemic, the Bosch Group did not slow down the pace of investments in Poland. The expansion of the factory in Mirków near Wrocław with modern production lines for brake system components for electric and hybrid cars cost PLN 280 million. Investments in the household appliances sector are also carried out. A Logistics Center with an area of ​​30,000 m2 with its own railway infrastructure was established in Wrocław. On the other hand, in the dishwasher factory in Łódź, less than a year after its launch, the millionth device rolled off the assembly line.

  • “The quality of software from Poland prompted the headquarters to place this point in Warsaw” – emphasized Rafał Rudziński and added that ultimately 500 programmers will find employment in the Center.

The concern is involved in activities for the protection of the environment. The Bosch Group was the first global industrial group to achieve climate neutrality in February 2020, confirmed by an external audit, in terms of its own emissions at 400 locations around the world. This was done, among others, by by investing in renewable energy sources, purchasing certified green energy and reducing its consumption.

The Bosch capital group consists of four companies: Robert Bosch (power tools); BSH Domestic Equipment (AGD), Bosch Rexroth (industrial production lines) and SIA Abrasives Polska (abrasive papers). The group employs approx. 7.8 thousand people. people, has 8 production plants, four research and development centers and numerous logistics centers.
