Boryszew recorded PLN 78.92 million of consolidated net profit from continued operations in 2021 compared to PLN 282.7 million profit a year earlier, the company said in the report. Net profit on continued and discontinued operations in total, attributable to the shareholders of the parent company is PLN 72.8 million, compared to PLN 279.11 million. The operating profit was PLN 170.21 million versus PLN 4.07 million profit a year earlier. The EBITDA result (excluding one-off events) amounted to PLN 375 million and increased by over 8%.

“Last year, we ended the year with EBITDA of PLN 375 million and a net profit [in total from continued and discontinued operations] of PLN 82 million. Such results, in a difficult economic environment, are doubly rewarding. In addition, we improved financial ratios, working capital fell by 14.1% despite the high prices of key metals, and the debt ratio reached 1.8 compared to 2.5 in 2020, ”said President Wojciech Kowalczyk, quoted in the results release.

On a standalone basis, the net loss in 2021 was PLN 259.76 million compared to PLN 1,176.74 million in profit a year earlier.
