Bank Pocztowy has signed an agreement with MoneyGram for the next 5 years regarding cooperation in the field of handling money transfers, the bank said. Transfers to over 200 countries via MoneyGram can be made in the network of Bank Pocztowy and post offices located throughout the country, in a total of over 4 700 points.
The service can be used by natural persons who want to send abroad or receive a transfer in Poland. They don’t have to be customers of Bank Pocztowy, it said.
“Thanks to the cooperation with MoneyGram, we make it easier for Poles and foreigners working and staying in Poland to send money to their families or collect money. For several months, we have been observing an increase in the field of sending money transfers. It is especially visible during holiday periods. In total, we carry out about 500,000 remittances worth about PLN 600 million, ”said Alicja Sierakowska, director of the institutional banking department of Bank Pocztowy.
Money transfers to Poland are most often transferred from Great Britain, Italy and Germany, and from Poland they are sent to Ukraine, Georgia and Great Britain.
