Their structure consists of 90 percent made of recycled wood, they are friendly to people with disabilities and the environment. Allegro also announces that its parcel machines will have more functions than just the ability to collect and send parcels.
In November, the Allegro platform begins deliveries of purchases to its own network of parcel machines – One Box by Allegro.
Initially, Allegro will launch deliveries to 600 already standing parcel machines, but by the end of 2022 there will be at least 3,000 of them. First, Allegro customers in Warsaw will be able to use them, and in the following days the machines will start working, among others in Łódź, Poznań, Katowice, Wrocław and Toruń. All of them are to be powered by energy from renewable sources, some of them have also been planted with greenery. The company announces that there will be no advertising on them.
“When designing our network, we set ourselves the goal of safety and concern for spatial order and the environment. Our vending machines blend harmoniously into the urban landscape – where possible, they are planted with plants and no advertisements are placed on them. In addition, they will have facilities for the deaf and visually impaired, air quality sensors, a system of silent closing of lockers, lighting activated by a motion sensor and will be adapted to the surrounding infrastructure to ensure easy access for people in wheelchairs and to secure unloading areas for couriers” – informs Francois Nuyts , president of Allegro.
