The e-commerce giant AliExpress is pushing forward on the Polish e-commerce market. After the first tests of its own parcel machines in Poland, the company has just started looking for locations for parcel collection devices. For now, there are 300 machines in Warsaw, and ultimately (by the end of 2022) as many as 8,000 across Poland.
The first AliExpress parcel machines can already be seen in Warsaw. It was launched by Cai Niao, a logistics company belonging to the Alibaba Group and cooperating with AliExpress.
AliExpress has long communicated that it wants to expand a logistics network in Europe. The company wants to shorten the delivery time and minimize the costs of deliveries from China to Europe. Until now, Alibaba’s logistics partner in Poland in terms of deliveries to parcel machines has been InPost, which established cooperation with the Chinese at the end of 2019.
In Poland, the company Świat Upload is responsible for the creation of the Cai Niao parcel network. It is this company that is looking for land and space located near large housing estates, shopping malls, service outlets, parking lots and petrol stations.
