The global e-commerce platform AliExpress is launching the first logistics center in Poland near Łódź, the company said on Tuesday. The warehouse is the largest investment in infrastructure implemented by AliExpress in the region of Central and Eastern Europe – added.
“AliExpress, the global e-commerce platform belonging to the Alibaba Group, has announced that the first independent logistics center in Poland has been completed and will start operating,” the company said.
As added, the logistics hub was created in cooperation with Cainiao, the logistic arm of the platform. The company said the warehouse will serve as a fulfillment hub for AliExpress sellers shipping products directly from Poland. The facility is the largest infrastructure investment implemented by AliExpress in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
“Poland is our regional hub in Central and Eastern Europe and was a natural investment choice for the first logistics center in the region for AliExpress. The new center will provide faster shipping for users in key cities”, said Gary Topp, CEO of Central and Eastern Europe, quoted in the press release.
