The ongoing COP 26 directs the world’s attention to the growing climate challenges. In order to effectively counteract them, both appropriate regulations and the involvement of consumers and entities from all sectors of the economy, including food producers, are necessary. Żywiec Zdrój was awarded for the pioneering efforts to protect the planet’s resources for the fourth time in a row. The company collected and recycled the same amount of plastic that it introduced to the market – thus keeping its word at the COP24 climate summit in Katowice in 2018. Continuing the fight against climate change, DANONE announces new commitments.
“We are proud that our pioneering activities have been appreciated. Above all, however, through these activities, we have a noticeable impact on the protection of natural resources and contribute to the fight against climate change. The need for new initiatives is effectively recalled by the ongoing UN climate summit. Therefore, as we continue our efforts to protect the planet’s resources, we are announcing commitments for the coming months and years.” – says Paweł Piątek, General Director of the DANONE group of companies.
Willing to continue the positive impact on the health of millions of Poles and to protect natural resources, DANONE companies undertake to:
COUNTERACTING NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES OF POLES, focusing on promoting the right habits and food choices and developing a valuable product offer.
PROTECT THE PLANET’S NATURAL RESOURCES by pursuing a closed loop of their packaging, zero emissions, counteracting food waste and promoting regenerative agriculture and a planetary diet – beneficial for health and the environment.
