13th Infoshare tech confence in Gdank 8-9 May lures thousands

300 startups from around the world and nearly 150 investors. 200 top speakers from Poland and the world and a solid dose of knowledge about global trends in technology. On 8th of May at AmberExpo, in Gdansk starts Infoshare. It’s the 13th edition of the Infoshare conference. Registration is underway, and thousands of participants will visit the event, like every year.

At Inspire Stage, experts from around the world will discuss issues related to innovation in business and management, artificial intelligence and the future of the global technology market. Among others we’ll see Michał Sadowski from Brand24 with his presentation 7 Things I Wish and Knew when Starting a Business referring to the best practices and the biggest mistakes in building an online business. A well-known traveler, Marek Kamiński, will also appear on the stage and will raise the topic of global challenges in the context of new technologies. Christopher S. Penn, Trust Insights will answer the question of how artificial intelligence will irreversibly change the marketing we know today.
On the first day of the conference, the Inspire Stage will also host the premiere of The Golden Book of Venture Capital in Poland 2019, the latest report of the Startup Poland Foundation, which presents the condition of the Polish VC market.
Among the speakers of the 2- days Marketing Stage we’ll listen to speakers mentioned on the Top 50 Social Media Marketing Influencers list, such as Mark Schaefer (Schaefer Marketing Solutions) and Scott Brinker from HubSpot, who will also perform on the Inspire Stage on May 8th.
We will also see Janina Bąk from janinadaily.com, Kamil Kozieł from prezART, Paweł Tkaczyk, Jacek Kotarbiński from kotarbinski.com and many other names from the marketing world.
At DevTrends Stage and 4 other stages dedicated to developers, experts from LinkedIn, Slack, Mozilla and Microsoft will talk about the future of technology, cybersecurity, AI and blockchain. We will also see Piotr Konieczny from Niebezpiecznik, who will talk about the latest trends in cybersecurity.
Startup Stage changes into Growth Stage and gets bigger. In it’s agenda, there are pitches of 20 startups that will compete in the Startup Contest for EUR 30,000 in cash, funded by the Mayor of Gdańsk. The competition for scale-ups solving socially important problems is a novelty this year.

All the speeches and presentations are complemented by workshops and trainings.

Speed ​​Dating and Investors Meetup – business meets here
The hosts claim that, as every year, Infoshare is a great opportunity for meetings with investors who are looking for business unicorns. The startups present at the conference will be able to present themselves to over 150 VC/CVC funds like e.g. Black Pearls VC, Market One Capital, bValue, InvestHK or PGE Accelerator. The conversations will take place during individual speed dating meetings, arranged with a dedicated app. In 2018, over 1200 such meetings took place.
“Infoshare is also a meeting place for international corporations and banks that are constantly looking for access to the latest technological solutions provided by startups. In 2018, we hosted representatives of nearly 3,000 companies and institutions, such as Microsoft, BGŻ BNP Paribas, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Bayer, Alior Bank.”- says Grzegorz Borowski, CEO of infoShare Foundation that organizes the event. “This year, we plan to have around 90 exhibitors in the EXPO space,” he adds.
The hosts have also planned numerous events, including Great Networking Party with the concert of Krzysztof Zalewski available to all participants on the first day of the conference. On 9th of May a Sunset Leaders Boat Race is planned. It is the galleons cruise on the Gulf of Gdansk, which will end up with Afterparty in the shipyard area, in the most characteristic place of Gdansk.
