WIŚNIOWSKI, a leading European manufacturer of garage doors, windows and fencing has expanded its existing cooperation with the IRONMAN Poland Tour organizers. In 2019, the company has taken on title rights to the IRONKIDS competitions in Warsaw and Gdynia.
Accompanying the adult IRONMAN events in Poland, IRONKIDS Warsaw and Gdynia are part of the global series of competitions for children. In the events, children compete in short runs or aquathlons. Last year in the IRONKIDS competitions in Warsaw and Gdynia, ‘tens of thousands of children aged 2 to 18 years old took part’.
“Sponsoring the youngest participants in the global IRONKIDS series perfectly fits with the development strategy of our ‘Be The Winner’ project supporting athletes in their efforts to achieve the best results and self-testing in new disciplines,” said Irmina Długopolska, responsible for sports sponsorship in WIŚNIOWSKI.
Michał Drelich, Managing Director of Sport Evolution, the sole licensee of the IRONMAN brand for Poland, said “Cooperation with WIŚNIOWSKI last year made it possible for us to raise the level of our events. WIŚNIOWSKI is a committed partner that comes up with interesting initiatives and ideas. We are convinced that our cooperation is developmental, and in the coming years will contribute to the further popularization of triathlon in Poland and beyond.
The ambassador of WIŚNIOWSKI’s Be The Winner program is a film and theatre actor, Krzysztof Wieszczek, who debuted in 2017 as a triathlete. He has also got on board the charity initiative #TRI2help, which accompanies IRONMAN Poland.
Krzysztof Wieszczek said, “Training for a triathlon is quite a challenge, but the emotions that accompany every triathlete running into the IRONMAN competitions are indescribable. That’s why I became an ambassador of triathlon in Poland and I strongly encourage others to try it.”
