The WP Group is looking for acquisitions, incl. in e-commerce in Poland and the CEE region

The WP Group is "looking" for acquisitions in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe, said president Jacek Świderski. The group is looking for potential goals, among others in e-commerce.

“We are currently cast down, we have a lot of debt potential and generate a lot of cash flow. We look around in Poland and abroad, where we can leverage our technology, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, because here we are looking for opportunities for mergers and acquisitions, ”said Świderski during the videoconference.

He added that "the M&A department (seven people in total) is working and interviews are ongoing."

"We are doing everything we can to scale up, develop technologies and services to make them more and more competitive with global competitors," said the president.

Wirtualna Polska Group is the owner of one of the two most popular horizontal web portals in Poland - Wirtualna Polska. It also runs the o2 horizontal portal and numerous specialized vertical portals, including in particular business portals - and Biztok, portals related to new technologies - e.g. Dobreprogramy, portals related to sports - e.g. Sportowe Fakty, and entertainment portals - for example Pudelek.
