The Warsaw-based packaging company has raised VC and seed funding to aid development.

Polish custom packaging company Packhelp has raised €2m in seed financing from Speedinvest x, PROFounders, Market One Capital and VentureFriends.

The company plans to use the money to strengthen its position in its key markets and to further develop its packaging design platform.

Customisable packaging

Packhelp allows its clients to quickly design and order custom packaging online through its box editor. Its clients include Nivea, Uber and Electronic Arts.

The company sells corrugated boxes in various shapes and sizes and is looking to better align boxes to the right sized products as well as cut down on waiting times on orders. Packhelp has a presence across Germany, France, Spain and Italy as well as Warsaw and it generates 70 per cent of its revenue outside of Poland and serves over 5,000 customers from 29 countries.

Wojciech Sadowski, the CEO and co-founder of Packhelp said, ‘We plan to invest heavily into our platform in order to make designing even simpler and quicker. Our customers can also expect new products and services that will push their packaging experience to the next level.’

Mathias Ockenfels, partner at Speedinvest x said, ‘Personalisation and customisation are becoming increasingly important in ecommerce. The “unboxing experience” has become a fundamental part of the entire customer journey. Therefore, a box itself is a crucial touchpoint in the brand building and communication strategy of any ecommerce company.

‘Its promising traction and superior product experience underpinned by a solid, international trend have convinced us to back the amazing team building Packhelp.’

‘We have been observing Packhelp since their beginnings and we are truly astonished by the pace of their business model scaling,’ said Marcin Kurek, managing partner at Market One Capital. ‘We want this investment to result in Packhelp being a leading solution of this kind in Europe.’
