Portugese Simoldes Plasticos to build 2nd factory in Poland

The investor plans to build a production hall with an area of ​​almost 15,000 sq m. sqm The company plans to hire at least 100 employees, as part of its 89 million pln investment.

Portuguese company Simoldes Plasticos will build its second factory in Poland in Żory. On May 7th, they signed a contract for the purchase of a plot of land with an area of ​​7.4 hectares.


The construction of the production plant in Żory is to begin at the beginning of June, and the first production launch is scheduled for October this year. The investor plans to expand the plant in Żory in the future.

Simoldes Plasticos Polska Sp. z o.o. has been operating since 2003 in Lower Silesia. The plant in Jelcz-Laskowice currently employs over 600 people. It manufactures injection-molded plastic components – interior and exterior car parts such as pillars, trunk parts, wheel arches and door panels. The company’s clients include Volkswagen, Audi, Stellantis, Skoda or Seat.

Simoldes Group, which includes Simoldes Plasticos, was founded in 1959 and headquartered in Oliveira de Azemeis, Portugal. It is a company wholly owned by the Rodrigues family from the outset. Simoldes Group employs a total of over 6,000 people, and the main industrial activity of the Group is divided into the production of plastic elements and the production of industrial tools.
