Mex Polska shares recorded a 22% increase during the last session, approaching the level from before the pandemic.
The price of Mex Polska listed on the WSE (with 46 eateries, including Pijalnia Wódki i Piwa and Pankejk) remained at the level of around PLN 2.2. However, during Friday’s session it shot up to PLN 2.9 – while the HoReCa industry is down again. It ended with a 21.8% increase, to PLN 2.7, giving PLN 21 million in capitalization. The turnover amounted to PLN 0.3 million, which is the majority of the results for the whole week. The quotations therefore approached the level just before the pandemic, when they were around PLN 2.9.
On Thursday, during the session, the company announced that it would recommend at the next general meeting to repeal the incentive program for 2019, 2021 and 2022. It indicated the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on its results as the reason.
“Due to the specificity of our restaurants, we will not suddenly start to make a living from deliveries, therefore the recent restrictions will significantly affect our operations” – said “PB” during last year’s lockdown Piotr Mikołajczyk, vice president of Mex Polska.
