The consortium of Pozbudu and Mag-Train has signed a contract for the modernization, periodic repairs and inspections of 14 PKP Intercity carriages for a total of approx. PLN 70.6 million. The works are scheduled for three years, and the estimated revenue share of Pozbud in contracts concluded by the consortium is at least 60%, Pozbud reported.
“These are only the first contracts, we are working on new ones. The contracts signed confirm the enormous business potential of the rail industry segment in the Pozbud Group. At the same time, this segment is part of our strategic drive to reduce the carbon footprint and to pro-ecological activities. Therefore, we are developing the production of energy-saving wooden windows, we also focus on projects in the broadly understood renewable energy segment, ”said the president of Pozbud, Łukasz Fojt.
In the rail industry segment, the consortium of Pozbudu and Mag-Train submitted bids in tender procedures for the modernization of 130 wagons for a total amount of over PLN 590 million, with the first of the tenders, divided into two tasks, has just been finalized (14 wagons). The consortium plans to participate in tender procedures organized as part of the implementation of the PKP Intercity development and investment plan for 2021-2030, assuming investments, including rolling stock investments, at the level of PLN 19 billion, it was also announced.
