KSM Vision was established in 2012. The company was founded by a group of students and doctoral students of the Institute of Micromechanics and Photonics of the Warsaw University of Technology. From the beginning, the goal was to transfer the solutions developed at the university to the industry.
Now KSM Vision has obtained PLN 9 million from the investor. The funds will be allocated to the further development of technology and commercialization of products, as well as servicing new customers in Poland and abroad.
The investor is VIGO Ventures, an entity created by VIGO System – a company producing infrared detectors listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and a private investment company Warsaw Equity Group.
KSM Vision specializes in quality control systems for production lines in many industries. The company designs and implements machine vision systems that provide better lighting conditions and thus enable more precise control.
According to the investor, this is a very promising market niche. According to the Global Surface Vision and Inspection Market report, the surface vision and inspection market is growing at an average annual rate of almost 11 percent. It is expected to reach $ 19.5 billion in the next four years.
