Lockdowns made shared transport services decrease hugely in 2020. But now the new 2021 season for such vehicles is starting out with a bang.
As stated by “Rzeczpospolita”, Tier – one of the largest electric scooter operators in Europe – is launching in Poland. It will start with services in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot.
Tier will start with just 500 scooters. Ultimately, there will be nearly 3,000 of them in the Tricity It is also targeting Kraków, Szczecin and Warsaw. In total, their aim is to have as many as 10,000 scooters in Poland. This means that it can become the market leader almost immediately, with 15800 total vehicles on the market.
According to the newspaper, scooters quickly have become very popular in Poland, and in 2020 Bolt, the largest player in Poland, recorded a record – its two-wheelers were rented over 4 million times.
