Tauron becomes a Green subsidiary of Tauron Energia

Tauron Polska Energia has established a new subsidiary Tauron Zielona Energia, which is responsible for the preparation of renewable energy investments, project acquisitions, and will also conduct investment supervision over solar farms and onshore wind farms, Tauron said.

“By implementing the assumptions of Tauron's Green Return in terms of new capacity built in renewable energy sources, we use diversified tools. We focus primarily on the development of wind farm projects with already obtained building permits, land lease, use of land belonging to the group for the construction of photovoltaic farms and the acquisition of assets of already operating installations. Tauron Zielona Energia will be the equivalent of one window for all entities planning to cooperate with the Tauron Group in the development of new renewable energy projects "- commented Tauron's vice-president for strategy and development, Patryk Demski, quoted in the release.

Tauron Polska Energia is a holding company in the capital group that deals with coal mining, production, distribution and sale of electricity and heat. The Tauron Group covers 18% of the country's territory and is the largest energy distributor in Poland and one of the largest economic entities in the country. The group includes, among others Tauron Wydobycie, Tauron Wytwarzanie, Tauron Ekoenergia, Tauron Ciepło, Tauron Dystrybucja, Tauron Sprzedaż and Tauron Customer Service.
