Taiwanese in Euro 18 million automotive expansion

The Taiwanese company Iron Force will build an automotive accessories factory in Zabrze, southern Poland, by the end of 2023, which will give jobs to more than a hundred people, Polish Trade and Investment Agency (PAIH) said in a press release on Tuesday.

Iron Force specializes in the production of airbag inflators and seatbelt components for the automotive industry. The cost of the Polish investment is estimated at over PLN 80 million (EUR 18.64 mln).

“Thanks to the plant in Poland, we will be able to establish close cooperation with clients from all over the world and develop in Europe,” Iron Force Group’s Vice President Camden Lee said, as quoted in Tuesday’s release.

Investments with Taiwanese capital have so far been a small part of the PAIH’s portfolio. In order to boost mutual economic relations, the agency and its counterpart InvesTaiwan have signed an agreement on cooperation in the area of investment promotion. The signing took place at the September opening of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Taipei.

The construction of Iron Force’s Polish factory is the second Taiwanese project serviced by PAIH since 2016, after the launch of the iTutorGroup training platform in 2017, Acting President of PAIH Krzysztof Senger noted in the press release.

Iron Force Industrial was founded in 1977. It is based in New Taipei, Taiwan. The company produces a wide range of parts for the automotive industry. The plant in Zabrze will be built in the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ).
