On December 14, 2021, SPIE took over NexoTech. NexoTech is a provider of maintenance and installation services for broadband copper and fiber-optic (FttX) networks and construction services in the field of infrastructure necessary for FttX installations in Poland. The company has a strong market position in western and southern Poland, and its headquarters is located in Luboń near Poznań. NexoTech employs approximately 950 highly qualified employees, and in 2020 generated revenues of EUR 25 million.
Markus Holzke, Managing Director of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, said: “With NexoTech we are gaining a strong team with great expertise in broadband development. We are very pleased with the further expansion in the rapidly growing FttX technology market with the support of the existing management and 950 employees of the company – this is a significant step towards strengthening our position as a strong partner in the field of multitechnical services in Poland. The transaction is to be finalized by the end of January 2022, after prior approval by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
