Working on behalf of Johnson Matthey, Skanska is set to develop a production and storage facility in Gliwice, Poland. The Sweden-based company will break ground on the new development this summer and expects to deliver it in the second half of 2018.
The upcoming facility will consist of an administrative building with a laboratory for quality control, production and storage buildings, as well as infrastructure. The contract is worth approximately $35 million and will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the second quarter.
Earlier this year, Skanska announced that it will invest more than $25 million in the second phase of Nowy Rynek, a western Poland mixed-use project. Additionally, the construction company also sold Nowa Fabryczna, a 243,000-square-foot office building in Łódź, Poland
