“Nobody is able to cope with such enormous increases in the costs of maintaining companies. We will have to close stores and terminate contracts with our employees”, says franchisee Ireneusz Wróbel.
“Electricity and gas costs increased by over 300%. This is an attack on small and medium-sized enterprises” – says Ireneusz Wróbel, owner of several stores operating within the Lewiatan Podkarpacie network, in an interview with Wiadomości Handlowe.
He admits that he will likely have to make difficult decisions. As he says, the “biggest drama” will be letting people go. – Our employees have been with us for over 20 years. They have their families, children, they want to live normally and continue to function at a decent level – he says.
Will there be a price reduction in his stores from February due to the reduction of VAT to zero on certain goods? Wróbel says yes. – To this day, we still do not have the final list of products affected by this change – he adds, however.
He also emphasizes that the final price of the goods on the shelf depends on many factors.
