Despite the extension of the deadline for submitting bids until March 12, no bid has been submitted by that time, which does not allow for the conclusion of the procedure for selecting a contractor for the revalorization of the Old Market Square, Poznańskie Inwestycje Miejskie announced on 17 March.
As Marcin Gołek, vice-president of the management board of Poznańskie Inwestycje Miejskie, emphasized, “no company has submitted an offer, so we are still in the procedure”.
“We are looking for the most beneficial solution for the investment. It may be a repetition of the procedure, but we are also checking what other ways of selecting a contractor the public procurement law gives us, he stressed.”
So far, PIM has reached an agreement with entities managing underground installations on the use of the reconstruction of the old-market slab for the implementation of investment plans in this area. Archaeological research is also underway there.
